Had a lovely meal in cosy surroundings next to the log burner. Really extensive menu and nice conversation with the staff. Hotel was open and welcoming despite the storm raging outside. Good value, wholesome food.

Stayed here for one night with my wife and our dog. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival we sat with a coffee and took in the amazing views around the hotel. Later that evening we had dinner which was absolutely delicious and to my surprise it was all home made. We sat on the decking with a couple of drinks and took in the scenery. Rooms were very well kept and clean bathroom was filled with little shower gels and shampoos which was great as we forgot to pack them. We had breakfast in the morning which was a full scottish breakfast which yet again was delicious. I will 100% be coming back to stay here the atmosphere was brilliant. I'm a motorbiker and usually just drive past this place. Not now this will be my new local place to stop for a rest. This hotel also offers a takeaway menu and a place to camp. Fantastic idea.

Parked just to climb the munros. £5 to park is fair, you need to put you write your reg on an envelope and post you £5 into a box, they didn't leave envelopes out so had to improvise with a peace of paper. Car park will fill up fast

Absolutely loved my time here. After spending a day in the hills completing 4 of the munros in the range, I was dying for a shandy and some food. They let us in even though they had just stopped serving food, made us the best vegan pizza I've ever had and made us and our dog feel super welcome. Thank you so much.

Stopped off here after a long day in the mountains and what a good call that was. Cracking pint of Guinness and fantastic fish and chips. 2 fish per portion and beautifully cooked; moist fish and crispy batter. The host was really on the ball and efficient service was proffered throughout. I’ll make an effort to call when I’m in the area again.

Had a great overnight stay outside in our campervan along with a lovely couple of pints of Tempest and a brilliant meal. Superb local knowledge from the landlord. Reasonable prices for beer and food, only £10 to park the van all night and all of the next day while out walking.

Great location for accessing the surrounding hills, or using it as base to go out even further. Very comfortable rooms which were spacious and well kept. The food from the restaurant was amazing as it was proper homemade. The 2 staff colleagues we kept interacting with, were incredibly friendly with great knowledge of the local area. We stayed here in June for the Glen Lyon Ultra, and we'll definitely be returning here next year too.

We parked at the hotel so that we could climb the Munros across the road and returned to the car at 8.45 pm expecting that the hotel would have stopped serving food. However, when we went in to pay for parking all day (£5) we were advised that they were serving food until 9.00 pm. The young man who was working front of house was very welcoming and offered to get some water for our dogs. We were given time to look at the menu, which given the time of our arrival was much appreciated. The food was very tasty (chicken tikka masala and fish and chips) and just what we needed after a long day on the hills. Thank you so much for making 2 tired hillwalkers and their dogs feel welcome.
